About this project

SIFAR conducts research to improve knowledge about the needs and experiences of older persons and to increase the quality of care for the elderly in South Africa and other developing countries. They approached OpenUp to provide them a Wazimap tool that could aggregate all service points that older persons could use.

It provides an easy solution to locating various assistive facilities.

The implementation process:

  • The Data team receives data from Medpages and the client.
  • The team then analyses, cleans and uploads the data to the Wazimap profile.
  • The Data team reviews the work with client.

Older persons can use the tool to view services that are centered around their needs.
